Show us an interesting video featuring one of the U.S. Presidential candidates.
This video isn't really about Hillary Clinton, but she's got a cameo in it and since this is one of my favorite videos ever, I've got to choose this one.
This is the video that Bill Clinton did in 1999, just before he left the White House, for the White House Press staff for their state dinner. I can't help but crack up every time I watch this video. I really miss Bill Clinton.
Audio: What was the first song you ever slow-danced to with a girl or boy?
Submitted by Rev Stan.
I've actually blogged about this before, so this was an easy one. The answer's Breathe's "How Can I Fall?"
My freshman year in high school, we were on a band trip in Corpus Christi having our annual banquet. There was this cute tuba player Doug Ball that I had a crush on (honestly, though, I had a crush on a lot of guys. I was a bit boy crazy) and I was so happy when he asked me to dance. Ever since "How Can I Fall?" has always made me think of high school.
Hard to believe this song came out seventeen years ago. It's still an awesome song, though.
Show us a skull and crossbones.
I have - literally - about a hundred Threadless t-shirts. I usually wait until there's a sale then pick a bunch of them up, like I did a few weeks ago when I got Adorable Disaster, ... Interpretive Dance, Emo Bear, Diabolical Hot Dog, and Revenge Of The Sushi.
One of the recent ones that I purchased was Stick Figures In Peril, which I just love. All those little stick figures being crushed by elephants, electrocuted, and being mauled is just so cute in a really evil way.
Seriously, though, Threadless rocks, so if you aren't familiar with their products, i recommend going and buying a bunch of their t-shirts.

Back in February, I got a BlackBerry Pearl - which I've named Josephine - when I switched to T-Mobile's MyFaves
plan. She's the perfect size and just so pretty, and really, I love her.
However, I'm always running out of memory, so I think I need to look into upgrading the card that came with the phone and I've got the stupid caps lock key turned on and can't get it off, but otherwise, she's perfect. I don't think I'd switch to another phone, except maybe an iPhone, but only if it was free.
Audio: Show us the best album (new or old) that you've bought this year.
I haven't actually bought too many albums this year (which seems weird), so I'm going with the album that I listen to the most - Jill Scott's Collaborations. Off the Collaborations album, I have to say I love Daydreamin' the best.
I've been a big fan of Jill's ever since someone included her track "The Way" on the Summer Burn It CD I did for the sexy music theme. I love her other two CDs - Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds, Vol. 1 and Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds, Vol. 2 - though I probably like Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds, Vol. 1 best.
If you're not familiar with her, you ought to have a listen. She's amazing.

Video: Show us your TV crush.

Man, where to even start with this one? There's like a billion TV crushes that I have, but only one that will never be replaced in my heart as my number one crush.
First, let's go through a quick list of current crushes - Tom Welling and Justin Hartley on Smallville, Jensen Ackles on Supernatual, Goran Visnjic (So hot!) on ER, Rob Morrow and David Krumholtz on Numb3rs, George Eads on CSI (now that he's got rid of his seventies porno mustache), Jake Weber on Medium, Jeff Goldblum on Raines (you should be watching this if you aren't already), Denis Leary on Rescue Me, and Mathew Gray Gubler on Criminal Minds just to name, well, not a few, but some.
Last year, my favorite TV boyfriend for the whole year was Jonathan Penner from Survivor. I loved him in The Last Supper (I'm pretty sure I'm the only person that ever saw that movie, but it's awesome, so watch it) and he played Survivor so awesomely last season, it was hard not to love him. Him and his pretty, pretty blue eyes.
The number one TV crush of mine of all time, though, is Fox Mulder. I say Fox Mulder because it's really not David Duchovny that I love. It took me a while to figure that out, but I watched a bunch of movies with him in it that weren't very good (Evolution, anyone?) and I was very meh about him. Every time I watch anything related to The X-Files, though, I get chills and fall in love with him all over again. Seriously, Fox Mulder is the most awesome TV personality ever. I think it's also related to how much I loved the relationship between Mulder and Scully. They were so awesome together.
Book: Show us a great non-fiction book.
I hardly ever read non-fiction. As a matter of fact, I think the only three books that I've read that are non-fiction in the last few years are Candyfreak: A Journey through the Chocolate Underbelly of America, Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers, and The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair that Changed America.
I liked all three, but I think my favorite of the bunch was probably The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair that Changed America. It's the story of the 1893 Chicago World's Fair, Daniel H. Burnham, the architect responsible for creating it, and H.H. Holmes, a serial killer pretending to be a doctor who murdered possibly hundreds of people during the fair.
The book was really good, though the author has a tendency to allude to upcoming things - like the Ferris Wheel - in kind of an annoying manner. I'd still recommend it, though, for both the story of the fair and the story of the killer, especially if you like true crime stuff.
Audio: Share a great instrumental song or album.
I seem in capable of answering these with just one song, so here's just some of the instrumentals that came to mind when I saw this question.
It's hard to believe, but I got Pure Moods fro Christmas almost ten years ago after asking my parents for it. I can't remember which song it was that I heard to that made we want the CD, but it quickly became one of my favorites, especially the theme from The Last Emperor. It's so beautiful.
At the last web development company I worked for, the other project manager Dan, was really into music and introduced me to several bands that I wasn't familiar with like Badly Drawn Boy and The Postal Service. Our Friday afternoon ritual was to listen to Close Behind. I love this song. It's so much fun.
Back when I was still running my Burn It CD swap, one of my favorite CDs included this song. Unfortunately, it didn't come with a track listing, so I had no idea what song this was until it was played at one of my cousin's weddings. It's awesome.
I love Drum Corp International. It's fun, it's exciting, and it's always great to see live. I still remember going to my first show in 1988, right before I started high school. The Phantom Regiment did Holst's The Planets that year and it was amazing. My junior year in high school - I marched the bass drum - we played part of the same show that Santa Clara did and it remains one of my most favorite pieces ever. It includes Lezghinka from Khachaturian's Gayaneh Ballet and Alfred Reed's Christmas Music.
Show us some birds.
This is so funny that it was a Vox Hunt since one of the first things I did to test my new camera out was to take pictures of the cute little birds across the street taking baths in the dirt. I really wanted to test the zoom since I was on the second floor and they were kind of far away. Looks pretty good to me.
My favorite picture of a bird that I've taken, though, is this picture of a scarlet ibis that I took at the Houston Zoo. I lomoized it, making the colors more striking.
